The annual Respect Life Prayer Breakfast sponsored by Scranton's pro-life organization, Pennsylvanians for Human Life, will be held to mark the tragic anniversary of the legalization of abortion-on-demand thirty-six years ago.
Dr. Theresa Burke, author and lecturer on the subject of post-abortion trauma and healing, will be the principal speaker. Theresa Burke is founder of Rachel’s Vineyard Ministries and author of a 15 week support group model Rachel’s Vineyard- A Psychological and Spiritual Journey of Post Abortion Healing and a weekend retreat model now offered in 45 states and internationally. Rachel’s Vineyard’s international outreach includes Africa, Australia, Canada, England, Ireland, Portugal, Russia, Spain, and South America. Mrs. Burke has lectured and trained professionals internationally on the subject of post abortion trauma and healing.
The Respect Life Prayer Breakfast will be held Saturday, January 31, at 9:00 a.m. at St. Mary’s Center, 320 Mifflin Ave. Scranton. The cost is $15.00 for adults $7.50 for children ages 6 to 12. There is no charge for children under age 6.
