No Obamacare Exchanges - Michael F. Cannon - Townhall Finance Conservative Columnists and Financial Commentary - Page 1

IMPORTANT ARTICLE - Send it to your state Reps. "Exchanges are the new government bureaucracies through which millions of Americans will be compelled to purchase Obamacare's overpriced and overregulated health insurance. Through these bureaucracies, insurance companies will receive hundreds of billions of dollars in taxpayer subsidies. Without these bureaucracies, Obamacare cannot work.

Here are just a few reasons why states should refuse to create them.

Jobs. Refusing to create an exchange will block Obamacare from imposing a tax on employers... " Visit:

This baby alive because of a video?

This baby alive because of a video?: "Amanda Mae very likely is alive today because of the work of Comfort, who in doing research for his book “Hitler, God, and the Bible” produced a video feature called “180,” about Hitler, abortion and life.

The message of “180″ is that while many Americans no longer understand fully the evil of Adolf Hitler, they do condemn him when they understand the facts. Likewise, when they are introduced to the realities of abortion, they also condemn the procedure."

AZ Senate Votes to Defund Planned Parenthood | SBA-List

From the Susan B. Anthony List  FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE: April 24, 2012
SBA List/ADF Model Legislation Heads to Governor Brewer’s Desk

Washington, DC ─ Today, the Susan B. Anthony List (SBA List), a national pro-life organization, praised the Arizona State Senate for passing the Whole Woman’s Health Funding Priority Act of Arizona (HB 2800) that will defund abortion providers such as Planned Parenthood of state family planning money in a 18-8 vote.  The bill is based on model legislation developed by the SBA List and the Alliance Defense Fund, which prioritizes family planning funds away from abortion-centered businesses like Planned Parenthood to entities that provide women with comprehensive health care.

“Planned Parenthood’s abortion-centered business model does not need or deserve taxpayer dollars,” said Rep. Marilyn Musgrave, Vice President of Government Affairs for SBA List. “We encourage Gov. Brewer to quickly sign this bill into law. Arizona is leading the charge to protect taxpayers and women from Planned Parenthood and the violence of abortion.”

The SBA List has led the charge to defund Planned Parenthood in the states following last year’s Congressional battle, offering state groups and legislators model legislation, expert testimony, and grassroots muscle. In 2011, eight states successfully defunded Planned Parenthood of more than $61.7 million. This year, with the help of the SBA List, Ohio, Iowa, New Hampshire, and Oklahoma have taken on Planned Parenthood’s tax funding in addition to Arizona.

In February, the SBA List joined the Center for Arizona Policy, Arizona Right to Life, and other local groups to host two “Women Speak Out: Defund Planned Parenthood” press conferences in front of local Planned Parenthood abortion clinics to draw attention to the organization’s abortion-centered business and calling for the passage of the bill.

The press conferences came a day after Chuck Donovan, President of the Charlotte Lozier Institute, the education and research arm of the SBA List, testified before the Arizona House Health Committee in favor of the bill in coordination with the Center for Arizona Policy.

The Susan B. Anthony List, and its connected Political Action Committee, the SBA List Candidate Fund, are dedicated to electing candidates and pursuing policies that will reduce and ultimately end abortion. To that end, the SBA List will emphasize the election, education, promotion, and mobilization of pro-life women.

Freed, Kane Diverge on Health Care, Sandusky Investigation

"Simply put: Former Lackawanna County prosecutor Kathleen Kane, a Democrat, would pull Pennsylvania out of the lawsuit on her “first day in office” if elected, while Republican Cumberland County District Attorney David Freed said he would keep Pennsylvania in the challenge. Calling the legislation “an unconstitutional power grab by the federal government,” Freed said he would protect Pennsylvanians from “such overreaching actions.”"  Visit:  Freed, Kane Diverge on Health Care, Sandusky Investigation:

Operation Rescue -Brigham Locked Out of Allentown Mill, Ordered Out of Pennsylvania

"Allentown, PA — Two abortion clinics with connections to the notorious abortionist Steven Chase Brigham have been ordered closed by the Pennsylvania Department of Health.

Allentown Women’s Services was forced to close when it lost its lease at 2200 Hamilton St., Suite 200, in Allentown. The Pennsylvania Department of Health revoked its license on April 10, 2012, citing “infrastructure failure” after landlord David A. Klein Real Estate terminated the lease, changed the door locks, and stripped the clinic name off all the building’s signage. Local pro-life activists report that Brigham’s office and medical equipment is still inside the locked office and no known effort has been made to remove it."

""We made a decision to get into this race at our kitchen table and against all the odds. And we made a decision over the weekend that while this presidential race for us is over, for me...we are not done fighting," Mr. Santorum said.

The announcement came a day after Mr. Santorum's 3-year-old daughter Isabella Maria, who is known as Bella, was released from the hospital after contracting pneumonia. Obama’s Monumental Misunderstanding | Center for Vision and Values - A conservative think tank promoting truth and liberty through a vision of faith and freedom.

Last week President Obama insinuated that the Supreme Court did not have the authority to strike down his healthcare law as unconstitutional.  Clearly a lawyer should know that in the history of the Supreme Court more than 150 Congressional Acts have been declared unconstitutional.  What possible motives could Obama have for denying the authority of the Supreme Court?  An excellent article from the Center for Vision and Values addresses the authority and history of the Supreme Court.

" President Obama recently complained about the possibility of the Supreme Court striking down Obamacare. He used the term “unprecedented” and was critical of “judicial activism” engaged in by “unelected” judges. In so doing, he showed his monumental misunderstanding of American government, which should be of concern to every American who values constitutional government."  Visit:  Obama’s Monumental Misunderstanding | Center for Vision and Values - A conservative think tank promoting truth and liberty through a vision of faith and freedom.:

Easter and Heaven | Center for Vision and Values

"As Christians around the world celebrate the resurrection of Jesus Christ this Easter, heaven is naturally on the minds of many. Recent polls indicate that between 75 and 90 percent of Americans believe that heaven exists, percentages that far exceed the belief by residents of other Western nations.

As the author of “Heaven in the American Imagination,” I have recently been interviewed for both a television special and a “Time” magazine article on heaven. The widespread belief among Christians that we, like Jesus, will live after our death, has led many to ask what heaven is like. Throughout history Americans have offered many different answers to this question."

Obama Admin Forced to Pay $120K After Targeting Pro-Lifer | LifeNews.com

"Susan Pine is a sidewalk counselor. She counsels women who are considering abortion and provides help, resources, and support for women who choose life. Without any evidence of wrongdoing, Attorney General Holder accused Pine of obstructing the entrance to an abortion clinic in violation of the Freedom of Access to Clinic Entrances Act (“FACE”).
Attorney General Eric Holder and the Department of Justice had sought to levy thousands of dollars in fines against the pro-life activist as well as seeking a permanent injunction banning her from continuing her faithful 20-year ministry outside an abortion clinic in West Palm Beach, Florida.

“But this scheme was thrown out of court and drew criticism from Judge Kenneth L. Ryskamp,"  Visit:
