After news that abortionist Kermit Gosnell was being charged with eight counts of murder, the public also learned that Gosnell's clinic had not been inspected since 1993. The Department of Health pledged to inspect all of the state's 24 abortion clinics. The Philadelphia City Paper requested the records of those inspections. "Fifteen clinics were issued 'notices of deficiencies,' mostly regarding relatively minor infractions." the City Paper reported.
