From New Jersey Right to Life : "On Monday, June 27, 2011, Senate and Assembly Budget Committees will meet in Trenton. Democrats, unhappy with the Governor's proposed budget, plan to present their own budget for Fiscal Year 2012. One of their main priorities is to restore $7.5M in taxpayer money to one of their core constituencies, Planned Parenthood.
According to Planned Parenthood's own fact sheets, NJ family planning clinics will still continue to receive in excess of $9.6M from Federal tax dollars under the Title X program. Before Governor Christie eliminated funding for family planning in the state budget, NJ taxpayers were funding Planned Parenthood, despite the fact that we were not required to do so.
