For more than four decades, pro-life people have attended the March for Life in Washington D.C., and I might add, the media, both local and national, pays very little attention.  Marchers travel often at great personal sacrifice, especially in years when the weather makes travel to the March for Life, and the March itself very difficult.  The blizzard which is forecast for January 22nd in Washington D.C. will not stop the March for Life,   However, the marchers will need your prayers for their safety and the unborn need your prayers for an end to abortion so no more unborn lives will be lost.

on 43rd Anniversary of the Legalization of Abortion

The Little Sisters of the Poor and Holy Cross High School will sponsor a local “March for Life” and prayer service on Friday, Jan. 22 – the 43^rd anniversary of the United States Supreme Court’s decision to legalize abortion.

The event, which is being held in support of the national “March for Life” in Washington, D.C. that same day, will begin at 2:30 p.m. when Holy Cross High School students, faculty, and staff will march 1.7 miles from the school, 501 E. Drinker St., Dunmore, to Holy Family Residence, 2500 Adams Ave., Scranton.

Upon their arrival at the residence, the marchers will be greeted by the Little Sisters and the elderly residents entrusted to their care where they will complete the march together. Following the march, the group will gather for a prayer service in the residence’s chapel to pray for the protection of life and the more than 57 million lives lost to abortion since its legalization in 1973. Refreshments will be served after the service.

“All three Ohio Planned Parenthood affiliates have sent fetal remains to companies which disposed of the fetuses in landfill,” the investigative report indicates. “Additionally, the Planned Parenthood facility in Bedford Heights stated it uses only one company for disposal. However, that company stated to investigators it does not accept fetal remains for disposal as a corporate policy.”

The first reason why importing Syrian refugees is dangerous is obvious.  As the Obama FBI Director admitted, we have holes in our intelligence network that make it nearly impossible to know for certain who these refugees are, what their backgrounds are, and what their intentions will be once they are here.  If we cannot track who these refugees are, how can we be sure they are not radical Islamists?  As we saw in Paris, it just takes one jihadist intent on destruction to upend the world.

Making matters worse, approximately 70% of Syrian refugees are fighting-age males – not your typical refugee population.  Does this sound strange, because it should.  The Syrian refugee population is ripe for terrorist activity and we would simply be importing terror to our shores.

The impact in terms of crime has been tragic. In recent weeks, the headlines have been covered with cases of criminals who crossed our border illegally only to go on to commit horrific crimes against Americans. Most recently, an illegal immigrant from Mexico, with a long arrest record, is charged with breaking into a 64 year-old woman’s home, crushing her skull and eye sockets with a hammer, raping her, and murdering her. The Police Chief in Santa Maria says the “blood trail” leads straight to Washington.

               Recently, Whoopi Goldberg made the bold announcement that the Bible has nothing to say about the subject of abortion. An audacious statement, especially since Ms. Goldberg has no scholarly credentials in the field of theology. But it should be noted that Ms. Goldberg is not alone in this belief; other abortion advocates have made such pronouncements as well as made the claim that since the Bible is silent on the issue it must, therefore, be licit.  While it is true that the Bible certainly does not explicitly use the term “abortion” that does not mean that it has nothing to say on the subject. In fact, St. Paul did implicitly write about abortion, specifically in his Epistle to the Galatians.  Visit:
