This morning, the U.S. Supreme Court issued their decision in NFIB vs. Sebelius, ruling that the Affordable Care Act’s individual mandate is constitutional. Congressman Joe Pitts (PA-16) is currently reviewing the decision and will issue a more detailed opinion later in the day.
Rep. Pitts’ statement follows:
“While I am deeply disappointed that the law was upheld, I continue to believe that it is bad policy. Just because the Supreme Court declares something Constitutional does not mean that it is a good idea.
