Kansas Legislators Plan to Tighten Late-Term Abortion Laws
Kansas abortionist George Tiller, who has allegedly performed late term abortions illegally, has been at the center of controversy for several years now. Former Attorney General Phil Kilne conducted an investigation of Tiller's alleged illegal abortions, charging Tiller with 30 misdemeanor counts. Kline was unseated in the 2006 election for Attorney General
The new Attorney General, Paul Morrison thus far has not charged Tiller. Recently, the Topeka Capital Journal reported Kansas "legislators hosted a rally for about 100 people outside the Statehouse in advance of Attorney General Paul Morrison's announcement sometime this week of findings from a six-month investigation of Dr. George Tiller. Morrison's predecessor as attorney general, Republican Phill Kline, filed 30 misdemeanor charges against Tiller for violation of late-term abortion statutes, but all were thrown out in December by a Wichita judge." Now Kansas Legislators want to "narrow legal justification for abortion after 21 weeks of gestation and permit late abortion only to save the life of the mother." To read more visit:

Phil Kline, the former Kansas Attorney General who launched an investigation into alleged illegal abortions performed at two Kansas abortion centers, addressed the National Right to Life convention held this past week in Kansas City Missouri.
Kline was defeated in the 2006 election and his successor, Attorney General Morrison has not charged the abortionists.
The Kansas City Star article begins; "Phill Kline took his crusade against abortion to a friendly audience Thursday, delivering a sizzling indictment before the National Right to Life Convention.
“The soil of Kansas is stained red,” said Kline, formerly the Kansas attorney general and now Johnson County district attorney.
“Abortion is sin, and sin always begins with a lie.”
Before his speech, Kline criticized his successor, Attorney General Paul Morrison, for not taking seriously the investigation Kline began into alleged illegal abortions performed at two Kansas clinics." To read the entire article visit:

"Right to Life had its annual, three-day convention in Kansas City this week, attracting more than 1,000 leaders of local and state anti-abortion groups from across the nation. Mary Balch, director of the group’s state legislative efforts, predicted that ultrasound legislation will be a growing trend.
“We believe the more information a woman has about the development of a child, the more likely she is to choose life,” Balch said." Eleven states have enacted laws requiring abortionists to tell women they have the right to see an ultrasound of the child they are carrying. www.kansascity.com | 06/17/2007 | Abortion foes say ultrasound measures new push:

Is Romney's Pro-Life Conversion a Myth?
Now for the other side of the Romney coin. An ABC News article of June 14th called "Romney's Pro-Life Conversion Myth or Reality", by Rick Klein and Jake Tapper questions the sincerity of Romney's pro-life conversion. The article cites several examples of questionable actions as governor including the following:
"Within two months of his epiphany on this issue, Romney appointed to a judgeship a Democrat who was an avowed supporter of abortion rights. In May 2005, Romney also declared his support for a House bill lifting President Bush's ban on federal funding of embryonic stem cell research -- a bill he now said he opposes" To read more visit:

Pro-Life Blogs- Bill O'Reilly Comments On Late-Term Abortionist George Tiller
"Fox News host Bill O'Reilly rebounded from a six-month silence to issue a scathing segment on the notorious late-term abortionist George R. Tiller that aired the evening of May 30. During the segment, O'Reilly blasted Tiller for 'executing fetuses' for 'vague medical reasons.'
He was equally critical of Kansas Gov. Kathleen Sebelius, who vetoed a bill that would have required Tiller to provide specific medical reasons for abortions after 21 weeks of pregnancy.
'Incredibly, Gov. Sebelius is protecting Tiller,' O'Reilly said during his broadcast. 'And Gov. Sebelius is allowing him to continue the slaughter. How the governor sleeps at night is beyond me.'" To read more visit:

"For three years, Riaan Bolton has lain motionless, his eyes open but unseeing. After a devastating car crash doctors said he would never again see or speak or hear. Now his mother, Johanna, dissolves a pill in a little water on a teaspoon and forces it gently into his mouth. Within half an hour, as if a switch has been flicked in his brain, Riaan looks around his home in the South African town of Kimberley and says, 'Hello.' Shortly after his accident, Johanna had turned down the option of letting him die." To read more about this story visit: Reborn | Special reports | Guardian Unlimited
