13-Year-Old Raped by Her Stepfather Rejects Abortion, Meets Her Daughter Decades Later

Growing up was “normal” for me, I thought.  I have three younger
brothers  — all who were born to my mother and stepfather.  We did the
things families normally do:  camping, fishing, and celebrating
birthdays and holidays.  We went to movies, laughed together and enjoyed
playing outside.  We occasionally we went to church.   One thing which
wasn’t truly normal however, was the secret between me and my
stepfather.  From as young as I can remember, he sexually molested me.  I
knew nothing different.  As I said, I thought it was normal.  This was a
secret no one knew – a secret he told me I must keep, and I was too
terrified to tell anyone anyway.    The story continues:

Landmark Bill to Stop Forced Dehydration Passes Texas House, Heads to Senate

By Dr Jacqueline Harvey

The Texas House of Representatives has passed House Bill 3074, which is groundbreaking legislation that would end the forced withdrawal of feeding tubes by medical facilities. HB 3074 by Representative Drew Springer proudly endorsed by Euthanasia Prevention Coalition (EPC)will stop involuntary euthanasia by dehydration and is expected to be taken up quickly by the Senate early next week. Once signed into law, HB 3074 will be the first successful reform to the Texas Advanced Directives Act since 2003.

HB 3074 was passed on second reading in the Texas House of Representatives on Thursday, May 14 in under three minutes by a simple voice vote due to overwhelming support from legislators. Representative Springer’s bill boastsfour joint authors and 80 co-authors - well over half of the 150 House representatives. But moreover, HB 3074 is the first end-of-life bill in 12 years that has garnered universal agreement among patient advocates, disability rights, prolife and religious organizations.   Visit:

Her Doctor Said a Dead Baby Was Better Than an Imperfect One and She Should Abort

When Eloise was a toddler, Stevie brought her to see the doctors who told her she should have an abortion because she wanted them to think long and hard about their so-called advice. She explained, “I wanted them to see what they told me to give up. I wanted them to understand that every one of the terrified mothers with sick babies is carrying a tiny person with her own personality, her own future, her own uniqueness. I wanted them to know that they’re not infallible. I wanted them to wonder how many babies they’d terminated after a misdiagnosis. I wanted to change their hearts. I knew that my daughter was destined for big things, and it would be a very big thing indeed to change the hearts and minds of these doctors who convince mothers that ending the lives of their babies is not only necessary, but right.”Her Doctor Said a Dead Baby Was Better Than an Imperfect One and She Should Abort

Family’s Lawsuit Attempts to Make Nursing Home Starve Their Mother to Death

Oral nutrition – like spoon feeding – should not be considered health care or medical treatment, but rather seen as basic personal care and support, says Toronto health and human rights lawyer Hugh Scher, who recently advanced this position at the Supreme Court of British Columbia. In Bentley v. Maplewood Seniors Care Society, 2014 BCSC 165 (CanLII), the family of an 84-year-old woman with advanced Alzheimer’s disease sought an order requesting that she no longer be given nourishment or liquids by staff members at The Maplewood Seniors Care Society, where the woman resides.  Visit:
