"The clouds of Tuesday's three primary losses failed to darken the outlook of former Pennsylvania Sen. Rick Santorum as he expressed optimism for his presidential campaign during a lunchtime stop at a Carnegie diner today.

Santorum’s faith draws backers - SC Republican Primary - TheState.com

This is a an article aboiut why one South Crolina woman, supports Santorum: “Everyone was holding a salad plate, and he just stood there with his arms crossed and — no notes and, of course, no Teleprompter — he took every question. He answered every one. He was so good. I walked out of there thinking, ‘If he runs, I’ll support him,’ ” Newman said. Visit:

Santorum still ahead

CNN reports at 11:30pm Rick Santorum has 24.7% or 28,049 votes to Romney's 24.6 percent or 27,977 votes and Ron Paul's 21.2% or 24,144 votes. Newt Gingrich had some nice things to say about Santorum when speaking to his supporters. Gingrich received 15,097 votes.

Rick Santorum and the Iowa Caucuses

I hope everyone had a nice Christmas. I took a much needed break from blogging but am getting excited by Rick Santorum's recent polling and now the voting in Iowa.

With 31% reporting, Romney, Rick Santorum and Ron Paul were practically tied. Momenta ago CNN reported Santorum ahead by 100 votes with 50 percent of precincts reporting.

CNN coverage is somewhat nauseating as they throw in video of Obama and Dem party hacks even though there is no contest on the Democrat side. The real story is the Republican race.

When Rick Santorum was in Old Forge in August Santorum stated "I focused all my time and attention on Iowa, New Hampshire and South Carolina. We have a campaign that is legitimate, a campaign that can be successful With the events in Iowa I feel very strongly we are in this campaign not just because we have a good message, but because we can win this campaign." Tonight's results seem to bear that out.

More important than how Santorum thinks his campaign is going is the message he delivered in Old Forge in August - a message that went largely unreported. Santorum said this is the most important election since the election of Abraham Lincoln, the reason being we are voting to determine what type of country we will be.

Santorum said, "The Constitution is the how of our country - the Declaration of Independence is the why of our country. It is our soul." The Declaration of Independence states:
"We are endowed by our creator with certain unalienable rights" This historic document recognized that rights came NOT from the King but from God". Santorum continued, "At the heart of America is a country founded on God - we recognized in the Declaration of Independence that rights are from God." That message I'm sure appealed to many voters from Iowa.

With fifty percent of precincts reporting Rick Santorum leads by 100 votes and with 60% reporting Santorum has 25%, Romney has 23% and Paul 21%.

Senator Rick Sanotrum writes about parenting a child with disabilities in: " Two years worth every tear" | Philadelphia Inquirer

Rick Santorum who served as Pennsylvania's Senator during the Bush administration wrote recently about parenting his special needs child: "Being the parent of a special child gives one exceptional insight into the negative perception of the disabled among many medical professionals, particularly when they see your child as having an intellectual disability. Sadly, we discovered that not only did we have to search for doctors who had experience with trisomy 18. We also had to search for those who saw Bella not as a fatal diagnosis, but as a wanted and loved daughter and sister, as well as a beautiful gift from God." The article continues:
