The Scranton Chapter of Pennsylvanians for Human Life will commemorate the January 22, 1973 U.S. Supreme Court ruling legalizing abortion-on-demand with a Respect Life Prayer Breakfast to be held on Saturday, January 28, at 9:00 a.m. at St. Mary’s Center, downtown Scranton. Kate Adamson will be the principal speaker. Mrs. Adamson was the victim of a double brainstem stroke who survived an eight-day removal of her feeding tube. On April 19, 2005, following the starvation-death of Terri Schiavo, she testified before Congress on the subject of persons with disabilities.
The Prayer Breakfast cost is $13.50 for adults, $6.75 for children ages 6 to 12 and no charge for children 5 and under. Reservations may be mailed to Pennsylvanians for Human Life, 506 Broadway, Scranton, Pa. 18505. Tables may be reserved for groups of 6 or more.
